The Infant Jesus of Prague is, in reality, of Spanish origin. In the 17th century, this beautiful statue was brought by a Spanish princess to Bohemia and presented to a Carmelite monastery. For many years, the statue was enshrined on a side altar in the Church of Our Lady of Victory in the city of Prague. It is made of wax, and stands about 19" tall.
The image of the Divine Infant is clothed in a royal mantle, with a beautiful jeweled crown resting on its head. Its right hand is raised in blessing, while its left hand holds a globe of sovereignty. Each piece is highly detailed and comes with a decorated base.

Great
It is beautiful and I love them. Purchase them for family members as well as for a special Mass from the Philippine Community who honor the Infant of Prague every year. They love it also and thanked me for give as a gift. Italians always gave this at every bridal shower in the 1950/60 and probably still do today. We believe they bring good luck to the people we give them to. They should face a door, and the giver should tape coins on the bottom. Great gift and you can be sure I will keep ordering them.
